The Minister of Economy and Finance, says that the agreement reached with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), for the resumption of financing for the General State Budget, will strengthen the levels of confidence of the country, with international partners.
This is an agreement aimed at implementing a program of macroeconomic and structural reforms in the state's program to accelerate the country's economic recovery.
Speaking in Washington, where he is participating in the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, Max Tonela told Radio Mozambique, he hopes that more partners will resume financing several areas of Mozambique's development.
In the context of the spring meetings, which are being held in the United States, the Minister of Economy and Finance has so far participated in some plenary sessions and held bilateral meetings with the leadership of the IMF and the World Bank.
