The Renamo party today submitted a complaint to the Attorney General's Office (PGR) against the Director of the Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CDD), Adriano Nuvunga, for spreading allegedly false information about hidden deals between that party, its President Ossufo Momade and the Frelimo party.
According to the party's leader, MP Arnaldo Chanlaua, Nuvunga's accusations are unfounded and undermine the good image of Ossufo Momade. In this sense, he believes that the PGR should intervene.
Renamo is challenging the CDD to provide proof, with invoices, of any payments for transactions between the party and Frelimo. In addition, it wants the civil society organization to present evidence that Ossufo Momade's son is involved in Frelimo companies, as well as why it uses the term Frenamo.
The president questions Nuvunga's motives or projects when he attacks the Renamo party.
"We are asking that he be made a defendant in order to respond to these public pronouncements," he said.
In the MP's view, it is crucial to present the material truth in order to believe or give reason to the social activist.
