Renamo will soon release the results of the October 9 general elections based on the parallel count it carried out, the party's representative, Geraldo Carvalho, revealed today.

He said that this will be done when the party makes an official announcement about the general elections.

"We are still counting, and within the next few days [Renamo] will release the results of its parallel count," he said.

He said that the party disagreed with the results attributed to the Renamo party by the National Electoral Commission (CNE).

Carvalho said he knew, preliminarily, that Renamo had an advantage in at least two provinces, in the election of provincial governors and members of the provincial assemblies.

He said that, for the time being, the political group would not be joining the marches and demonstrations called by Venâncio Mondlane. (Source: STV)
