​Renamo identified and neutralized two armed plainclothes police officers during demonstrations on Wednesday (06) in the city of Nampula.

As the Electoral Bulletin of the Center for Public IntegrityAs a result of the enquiries, it emerged that one of the confessed perpetrators is in fact a member of the Mozambique Republic Police.

However, the other, who initially denied belonging to the police, claiming to be a member of Renamo, is an agent of the Special Operations Group (GOE). He also revealed that he had been infiltrating Renamo's political marches from the beginning.

The Portal voaportugues also reports these occurrences, including the invasion of Renamo's headquarters.

He collected the information, namely the route of the marches and the content of the speeches, and passed it on to his superior, identified as Abdul Remane.

Quoted in the bulletin, the Renamo spokesman said that the GOE agent was working at the behest of the State Information and Security Service (SISE).

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, UIR and GOE agents raided the party's headquarters in the city of Nampula and detained party members. In the raid, the alleged SISE spy was rescued. This happened when Renamo in Nampula was communicating the events to the party leadership in Maputo. See here the images.

"It's a person who is working at the behest of the State Information and Security Services (SISE), the police and Frelimo. They are people infiltrated by Frelimo to tarnish Renamo's image. Here, in addition to capturing more than 50 members, the members of the UIR and GOE looted our property, such as electronic equipment, speakers, computers, money and allegedly took cell phones from several Renamo members," he said.
