The Renamo party today elected Manuel de Araújo as the party's official candidate to run in the municipal elections of October 11, 2023 in the city of Quelimane, according to the portal Chuabo FM.

The decision was taken a few moments before the District Conference, at which D'Araújo, the current mayor of Zambézia's provincial capital, won the majority of votes from the members present.

With his re-election as Renamo's list leader, Manuel de Araújo has the opportunity to decide the city's fate for another five years.
