The leaders of Renamo and the MDM met this afternoon to discuss the local elections.

Without giving details of the decisions taken at the meeting, the two leaders limited themselves to saying that Frelimo should let the parties that the people elected govern.

It should be noted that the meeting takes place the day before the results of the sixth local elections are released on October 11 by the National Electoral Commission (CNE).

According to preliminary data from the CNE, Frelimo won the elections in 64 municipalities, minus one won by the MDM.
