Venâncio Mondlane denounces the sending of false minutes and notices to the Constitutional Council (CC) by the National Electoral Commission (CNE). In these terms, the Renamo candidate in Maputo says he will not accept the results.
"Look what they want to send to the Constitutional Council. Didn't the Constitutional Council ask for original minutes and notices? The CNE itself only wants to send 17 real notices and wants to send 54 fake notices," said Venâncio Mondlane on Tuesday, during another day of marches to demand the election results.
"All the documents sent by the CNE to the Constitutional Council are false," he said, assuring the people who were listening that he would not accept results that gave victory to Frelimo, using false notices.
Mondlane explained that his party is not claiming victory for nothing and backed up his statement.
"How many ghost voters did they increase? Thirty-three thousand voters who don't exist, and they stole sixty-five thousand nine hundred and four votes from Renamo.
They took them and gave them to Frelimo. They also took the phantom voters, thirty-three thousand of them, and gave them to Frelimo; they took seven thousand votes that were Renamo's and gave them to Frelimo", he said.
It should be noted that the Constitutional Council has been asking the CNE for the minutes and notices of the polling stations in some districts of Maputo municipality.
