Donald Trump's Social Network is now available on the Apple Store

Former US President Donald Trump decided to develop his own social media, Truth Social, after being banned from Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and YouTube about a year ago.

Truth Social, which aims to give a voice to the "excluded" and also combat misinformation (Fake News), is now available, since Sunday, for iOs operating system users. The app was available for download just before midnight in the US, ahead of Presidents' Day, which was celebrated, this year, on February 21.

Apparently, the app is designed to resemble Twitter, which, previously, was Trump's preferred social media platform.

Instead of tweets, Truth Social refers to individual posts as "Truths/Truth" that are displayed to users in a "Truth Feed." If you see a "Truth" that you want to share with your followers, you can apparently make a "ReTruth/ReTruth".

Other features under development are support for direct messaging as well as user verification, according to the head of the platform's core product.

Truth Social has been in beta since December, with about 500 users on the platform. It is being developed by the Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), which is headed by former Representative Devin Nunes.

The folks behind Thruth Social say that a version of the app for devices with the android operating system is coming soon.
