The district of Marracuene has 74 voter registration offices and 26 of them are unable to continue their activities, as a result of the rains that hit the city and province of Maputo last weekend.

The cities of Maputo and Matola could also see the voter registration process paralyzed. The victims of the weekend floods have been sheltered in the schools where the registration offices are located.

On the other hand, classes in the city of Maputo are closed until Friday, March 29, to accommodate the people affected and also because some schools are flooded and do not offer the minimum conditions to host registration brigades. (CIP Eleições)
