Aircraft crash kills two and injures one in Malawi

Two people died and one sustained minor injuries as a result of an aircraft crash on Tuesday afternoon in the Nkhotakota district of Malawi.

A statement from the local Ministry of Information and Digitization said that the aircraft was carrying the pilot and two passengers, and was bound for Makhanga, in Liwonde.

The crew member was of Zimbabwean nationality, according to the Minister of Information, Moses Kunkuyu. The passengers were a man and a woman of Dutch nationality. The survivor is receiving medical attention after being rescued by fishermen on the shores of a lake in a place called Benga.
