In Sofala, center of the country, about four thousand small producers of the family sector will receive financial support and agricultural inputs, in the third phase of the program Sustenta launched this Thursday.
It is expected that the productive value chain in the province will increase through the transfer of agricultural technologies.
Quoted by Radio Mozambique, the Sofala provincial director for Economic Activities, Adérito Mavie, said that more than five hundred extension workers will be mobilized to assist emerging farmers.
He mentioned that in this third phase of Sustenta about three million tons of various seeds will be made available to producers.
It should be noted that currently, more than eleven thousand nine hundred small producers in Sofala benefit from support under the Sustenta program, which translates into increased production and productivity.
