Qualificação para o Mundial 2026: Moçambique vence a Somália por 2-1

Mozambique beat Somalia 2-1 at the Zimpeto National Stadium in the third round of Group G qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, to be held in the United States of America (USA), Canada and Mexico.

With this win, the Mambas have six points and share the top spot in the group with Algeria and Guinea Conakry, the latter of whom will be the Mambas' opponents this Monday in Marrakech.

Mozambique's goals were scored by Alfonso Amade (14') and Ratifo (29'), while Somalia reduced the deficit through Ismail Mohamad (66') in a game in which Mambas goalkeeper Hernani was outstanding in preventing the Somali attack from breaching the net.

The Mambas play again on Monday against Guinea-Conakry, this time for the fourth round of the World Cup race.
