The National Football Team, Mambas, begins preparations this Monday (12) in Maputo for the match against Rwanda, scheduled for June 18, in the fifth and penultimate round of Group "L" for access to CAN-2023, taking place in Côte d'Ivoire.

Going into matchday five, the Mambas are in second place with 4 points, behind the already-qualified Senegal team with 12 points; Benin follow with the same 4 points as the Mambas, relegating Rwanda to last place with 3 points.

In the first round, Mozambique and Rwanda played out a 1-1 draw at the FNB Stadium in South Africa.
