The Mozambican Football Federation (FMF) has already approved the award regulations that will be in force throughout the qualifying phase for the 2026 World Cup, which kicks off on November 16 with Mozambique taking on Botswana.
According to a meeting held on November 8 at the FMF headquarters, the board chaired by Feizal Sidat decided to set the qualifying prize at 1 million meticais, with the prize for a win being set at 80,000 meticais and a draw being worth 40,000 meticais.
According to the "Lance" portal, the table that has now been approved has set the value of 600 US dollars (around 39,000 meticais) as pocket money for the entire period during which the combined national is abroad and 1,500.00 meticais only for the national territory.
Nevertheless, the FMF makes it known that the "award will be reduced to 50% if there is no mathematical possibility of qualification", adding that it "must be paid in full according to the availability of funds and the decision of the FMF board, no later than 60 days after the match".
