Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted Thursday at a press conference broadcast on Russian state television that Moscow is considering confiscating the assets of Western companies leaving the country.
The plan is to "introduce external management" in these businesses and close their spaces, "passing these companies to whoever is willing to work," indicates the head of state of Russia, quoted by the BBC. "We will find a legal way to do it," he said.
"People will realize that there is simply nothing that we cannot solve," Putin indicated when asked about economic sanctions by Western countries, noting that demand continues to rise on certain products.
Regarding the global energy crisis, the Russian president assured that Moscow is fulfilling its energy supply obligations and cannot be blamed, noting that it is the countries of the West that are "asking their citizens to tighten their belts and put on warmer clothes."
