Mozambican boxer Tiago Muxanga was eliminated yesterday (Wednesday 31) by Mexican boxer Marco Verde in the round of 16 of the boxing tournament at the Paris-2024 Olympic Games.

A publication by Radio Mozambique says that the Mozambican boxer won two rounds, while the Mexican won only one, but the jury eventually awarded the victory to Marco Verde, having weighed the points and blows of the first round.

On the other hand, after an impressive 5-0 victory over Slovakia's Diande, Mozambican boxer Alcinda Panguana faces China's Yang Liu tonight, who has already won the world championship in the 66 kg category. Alcinda Panguana is runner-up in the world and African champion.
