The government spokesman said today in Maputo that there were no shots fired by the Security Defense Forces (FDS) at journalists during protests in Maputo city center yesterday.
Filimão Suaze said this while accepting the possibility that press personnel had been shot while working.
In the view of the government spokesman, not least because he himself said that he saw the images, the journalists were hit, which does not mean that the DSF intentionally shot at the journalists.
He said that there will be an analysis and subsequent statement on whether there was any intention to curtail the work of the press. But he went on to say that this was not the purpose of the SDS.
