In order to combat speculation in the Mozambican market, the government will introduce a reference price for imported products in the next two weeks, announced the Minister of Industry and Trade, Silvino Moreno.
Moreno, who was speaking yesterday in Maputo as part of the official launch of the week of celebrations for May 25, Africa Day, revealed that there is work being done by the ministry, through the revision of the Commercial Law and the issue of profit margins, especially for basic products.
It should be noted that in recent weeks the price of some basic products, especially onions and potatoes, has been skyrocketing on the Mozambican market, thus reducing the purchasing power of many families.
