Eight small soybean producers, in Cabo Delgado, received this Monday the same number of kits consisting of a tractor, harrow, thresher and trailer to increase this cash crop, recently introduced in the districts of Montepuez, Namuno and Balama.
According to Hilário Sitoe, from SNV, a non-governmental organization responsible for that action, the equipment cost 32 million meticais and aims to increase the production levels of that crop, introduced with the objective of increasing the financial capacity of small family farmers and their resilience to the risks of monoculture practices.
The governor of Cabo Delgado, Valige Tauabo, who led the ceremony, congratulated the mentors of the initiative, as it opens a new page to the production and productivity process for the province.
