The Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) have already begun dispersing the demonstrators by throwing tear gas at the spot where Elvino Dias, the lawyer and representative of Venâncio Mondlane, and the spokesman for the Podemos party, Paulo Guambe, were murdered.
The demonstrators were summoned by Venâncio Mondlane to gather there and begin the march in repudiation of the murders at 9.30am.
Despite the rain in the capital, some people went to the site holding Podemos party signs and flags. The police have already detained some citizens, according to images in our possession.
Today, the presidential candidate, Venâncio Mondlane, who called the meeting, has not yet been seen there.
