The President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, sent a message of condolences to the Mozambican people for the death of 98 people in the shipwreck that occurred on Sunday along Quissanga beach, on the island of Mozambique.
In a note published on the official website of the Portuguese Presidency, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa comforted his Mozambican counterpart.
"President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa sent the President of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, a message of heartfelt condolences and a word of comfort and solidarity with the families of the many victims of the shipwreck that occurred on Sunday in the province of Nampula, as well as all those affected by this tragic accident," the note said.
