The President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, is taking part this Wednesday in Pretoria in the Investiture Ceremony of the Re-elected President of the Republic of South Africa, Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa.
According to Rádio Moçambique, the Mozambican head of state's trip comes in response to an invitation from the re-elected president of that neighboring country and will serve as an opportunity to reaffirm mutual interest in strengthening bilateral relations.
The event takes place in a year in which South Africa celebrates the 30th anniversary of multiparty democracy and the end of apartheid.
President Nyusi will be accompanied on this trip by the Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel Gonçalves, officials from the Presidency of the Republic and other state institutions.
