The President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, today led the opening ceremony of the 7th National Conference on Women and Gender at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Center.

The event is being held under the slogan "Empowering Women to Achieve Gender Equality".

The event aims to assess the progress made in implementing the Gender Policy and its Implementation Strategy, especially with regard to women's access to resources and their participation in development processes.
