The president of the Democratic Alliance Coalition (CAD), Manecas Daniel, said in a press conference on Thursday (27) that he was forced to leave the country due to persecution and an alleged assassination attempt.
According to Daniel, he was accused of being involved in a coup attempt, which led him to seek dialogue with the head of state to clarify that he never intended to take part in a coup.
"According to behind-the-scenes information, it was written on the list of those who were preparing the coup d'état. This list included Vitano Singano, Venâncio Mondlane, Albino Forquilha, Manecas Daniel and others," said the politician.
During his speech, the CAD leader said that he had faced persecution and claimed to have been the target of an assassination attempt.
"The regime is, and will continue to be, a criminal organization that devises scenarios to incriminate innocent people, in this case eliminating its political opponents. That's what happened to me," denounced Manecas Daniel, quoted in a publication by the Success TV.
