Tomorrow, the city of Stockholm, Sweden, will open the Nobel Prize season with the nomination for the Medicine category. Meanwhile, this year's Nobel Peace Prize is the focus of attention, due to the possible nomination of US President Donald Trump.

Trump, who has already said that he considers it an insult to the United States if he doesn't receive the Nobel Peace Prize, was publicly nominated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his "unwavering and exceptional dedication to promoting peace, security and stability around the world".

The US president was also proposed for the Nobel Peace Prize by Pakistan, for his "work in resolving the conflict between India and Pakistan".

On Tuesday, the Nobel Prize for Physics will be announced; on Wednesday, the Nobel Prize for Chemistry; on Thursday, the Nobel Prize for Literature; on Friday, the Nobel Prize for Peace; and on Monday (13), the Nobel Prize for Economics.

The current Nobel Prize winner in Medicine is Gary Ruvkun, professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School and researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital, distinguished for the discovery of microRNAs, a class of small RNA molecules that regulate the activities of genes in plants and animals, including humans.
