PR visits Uganda at the invitation of Yoweri Museveni

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi is expected this Wednesday in Uganda for a three-day state visit, at the invitation of his counterpart Yoweri Museveni.

According to the presidential statement, one of the Head of State's agendas in that East African country is to revitalize the friendly relations between the two peoples and strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Filipe Nyusi may, later this Wednesday, visit one of Uganda's great forms, to gather experience in the chain of production and agro-processing of agricultural products.

Likewise, the Mozambican Head of State will be able to visit some historical sites of the Republic of Uganda and participate in a state banquet to be hosted by his counterpart, Yoweri Museveni.

Uganda, with about fifty million inhabitants, stands out as one of the world's five largest producers of bananas and sweet potatoes, the world's eleventh largest producer of coffee, besides having large productions of sugar cane, corn, and beans among other products.

It is within this context that the visit of the Head of State, Filipe Nyusi, may open up good prospects for Mozambique to achieve, in the short and medium term, the industrialization agenda.
