The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, received Ayanda Dlodlo, special envoy of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, in Maputo this Friday.
During my meeting with the Head of State, the South African President's envoy asked for Mozambique's support for the South African candidacy for the presidency of the African Development Bank (AfDB).
Speaking to the press afterwards, Ayanda Dlodlo said that the request was made on behalf of President Cyril Ramaphosa, as part of South Africa's diplomatic efforts to secure the support of friendly countries for his candidacy.
The visit is also part of initiatives to strengthen partnerships in the field of economic development and regional security, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic.
