The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, has promulgated the Law for the Punctual Revision of Law No. 5/2013, of February 22, amended and republished by Law No. 8/2014, of March 12, which establishes the Legal Framework for Systematic Voter Registration for the holding of Elections, a statement from the Presidency said. 

Its enactment comes after the Portuguese Parliament approved a change to the voter registration law, thus accepting the criticisms made by political parties regarding the dates initially planned, which coincided with the rainy season.
