The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, has promulgated and ordered the publication of the Revision of the Law that establishes the Legal Regime and Measures to Prevent and Combat Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.

"The Head of State took the decision in the use of the powers conferred on him by the Constitution, and after having verified that the law does not contradict the Fundamental Law," says a note from the Presidency of the Republic.

The above-mentioned law was recently approved by Parliament and its implementation will bring significant benefits to maintaining the integrity of the financial system

The instrument aims to provide greater protection for the various economic sectors, preventing the infiltration of illicit resources, market distortions and ensuring that transactions are legitimate and transparent.
