PR appoints Elias Jaime Zimba as ambassador to Hungary, Austria and Poland

The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, in the use of the powers conferred on him by Article 161(c) of the Constitution of the Republic, has appointed, by separate Presidential Orders, Elias Jaime Zimba to the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mozambique to Hungary, the Republic of Austria and the Republic of Poland. 

Elias Zimba rose to the rank of ambassador in 2015 and, throughout his diplomatic career, has held a number of important positions.

In 2023, he was appointed Mozambique's Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, a post he continues to hold.

In 2024, he will also represent Mozambique as Ambassador to the Czech Republic, accumulating these functions with his new mission.

The diplomat will continue to carry out his duties with residence in Berlin, Germany, according to a press release from the Presidency
