The 2023-24 Agrarian Campaign is officially launched today in Vilankulo district, Inhambane province, with replicas in all the provincial capitals, under the slogan "Sustainable Agriculture, Transforming Lives".

The event aims to promote the sector's role in the country's socio-economic development and evaluate the performance of the previous campaign.

The central launch ceremony will be led by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, and will serve as a starting point for the strategic lines for increasing production and productivity, and should mobilize farmers and all players to become more engaged in the provision of food and its value chain, according to Notícias.

It also aims to promote innovative methods of technology transfer and highlight the role of agriculture in generating employment for young people in rural areas.
