The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, will pay a working visit to the Republic of India from January 9 to 12, 2023, at the invitation of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
According to a statement from the Presidency, the visit of the Mozambican Head of State à India is part of the context of strengthening and deepening relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and promoting investment opportunities in Mozambique.
During the visit, the President of the Republic will take part in the 10th edition of the Gujarat Global Summit, as well as holding official talks with the Indian Prime Minister, where they will review the state of bilateral cooperation, the statement said.
The Head of State's agenda also includes participation in the Business Forum on Investment Opportunities in Mozambique and a meeting with the Mozambican community in Gujarat.
President Nyusi will be accompanied on this visit by the First Lady, Isaura Ferrão Nyusi; the Ministers of Industry and Commerce, Silvino Moreno; Mineral Resources and Energy, Carlos Zacarias; and the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel Gonçalves.
