PR diz que não houve concessão do Porto de Nacala ao governo malawiano

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, clarified this Wednesday in Malawi that the Port of Nacala, in Nampula, has not been concessioned to the Malawian government, as has been speculated by some citizens.

Filipe Nyusi, quoted by Rádio Moçambique , explained at a meeting he held this Wednesday with the Mozambican community living in Malawi that the Mozambican government has only granted a piece of land outside the operational area of the Port of Nacala for Malawi to base its dry port on, which will serve to store general cargo in transit, pending its evacuation.

At the same meeting, the Mozambican community in Malawi praised the efforts of the President of the Republic to restore effective peace in Cabo Delgado and thanked him for sending a civil registry team to document Mozambicans living in Malawi.

It should be noted that during his visit to Malawi, the President of the Republic took part as guest of honor in the 20th Agriculture Fair, where Mozambique is represented by the provinces of Sofala, Tete, Manica and Zambézia.
