Today, Friday, at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Center (CICJC), the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, is chairing the International Conference on "Mozambique in the United Nations Security Council: Promoting International Peace and Security".
According to a note from the Presidency, the event aims to share the lessons learned by the Republic of Mozambique during its first 10 months as a Non-Permanent Member of the United Nations Security Council, by disseminating the main achievements, as well as reflecting on the challenges of the mandate.
The event will include three interactive panel debates on Mozambique's experience in peacebuilding, contemporary challenges for peace and security in Mozambique, Africa and the World, and Mozambique in the United Nations Security Council: Election Process and Performance.
The Head of State is also due to inaugurate a photographic exhibition on the peace process in Mozambique.
