This Wednesday, the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, will officially open the school year in the district of Molumbo, in Zambezia province.

Figures released by the Minister of Education and Human Development, Carmelita Namashulua, indicate that more than nine million pupils will return to school this Wednesday, an increase of almost 11% compared to last year.

According to the minister, the pupils will be placed in 13,000 elementary school and 600 secondary schools.

Carmelita Namashulua assured that all the conditions are in place for the school year to start smoothly.
