The Democratic Alliance (AD) won the legislative elections with 29.49% votes, resulting in 79 mandates in this legislature - 76 MPs in mainland Portugal (28.63% and another three in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (0.86% of the votes).

The Socialist Party (PS) won 28,66% votes and 77 mandates at 1:40 a.m. local time on Monday, according to the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Electoral Administration of Portugal, quoted by Notícias ao Minuto.

According to the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Internal Administration (SGMAI), 10,819,122 voters were registered to vote.

Eighteen political forces competed in these early legislative elections, three fewer than in the 2019 and 2022 elections.
