The Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) confirmed the occurrence of a kidnapping in the city of Maputo on Tuesday morning (07). Without giving details, the spokesman for the PRM Command in Maputo city, Daniel Macuácua, said that "the corporation is gathering information and will be able to comment later today".".

The crime took place in the early hours of this morning, on Avenida Zedequias Manganhela, in downtown Maputo.

The victim is the owner of NBC, an establishment that sells car parts. During the action, the perpetrators were armed with firearms.

The kidnappers took the victim away in a car without a license plate.
