PM says that improving the population's health care is a priority for the Government

Prime Minister Adriano Maleia said in parliament today that the government's main priority is to improve health care for the Mozambican population.

The government official, who was responding this morning to questions raised by members of Parliament, said that "in this context we will continue to focus on expanding the health network, through the construction, rehabilitation and upgrading of health units without neglecting their proper equipment".

The minister also revealed that the government is working on the implementation of a pharmaceutical logistics plan that will allow the system for the storage, distribution and management of medicines and medical supplies to be refined, leading to greater availability of these medical products in health facilities.

Due to the country's territorial extension, Maleiane said that the government has been working to bring health care closer to the population, while at the same time guaranteeing the participation of communities in promoting their health and illness.
