Prime Minister Adriano Maleiane today challenged national and international investors to invest in setting up a mineral resources processing industry locally, in order to add value to Mozambique's extractive industry..
According to Maleiane, who made this statement in Pemba, Cabo Delgado province, at the opening of the Energy and Industry Summit, the focus on linking large extractive industry projects with small and medium-sized Mozambican companies is the main vector for creating job and income opportunities.
"The theme of this Conference fits in with this perspective of industrializing our country, with a greater focus on transforming local raw materials into processed products in order to add value," said the Prime Minister.
