The Prosecutor General of the Republic (PGR), Beatriz Buchile, welcomed the recent revision of the organic law of the Public Ministry that culminated with the strengthening of the institution to fight organized crime in particular terrorismo.
Buchile was speaking this morning at the opening of the Regional Meeting of Public Ministries and Criminal Investigation Police of the SADC countries on Combating Terrorism, Violent Extremism and Financing Terrorism held in Maputo city.
On the occasion, the attorney general acknowledged that the fight against organized crime can only be possible with the use of cooperation between the various stakeholders in the region, including legal and judicial cooperation and extradition, as well as the general public.
The attorney general urged all segments of the Mozambican society to join her institution in the ongoing efforts to combat the financing of terrorism and other crimes.
