The company Petróleos de Moçambique (Petromoc) is authorized to sell shares corresponding to 20% of its share capital in the company Maputo International Airport Fueling Services Limitada (MIAFS) to I2A Investimentos e Participações, according to the Competition Regulatory Authority (ARC).
According to ARC, which is informing the operation, Resolution no. 05/2023, of September 4, requires Petromoc to sell at least "50% of its shareholding in MIAFS, within a period not exceeding one year, with the aim of ensuring the maintenance of effective competition in the market for the provision of aviation fuel storage and supply services".
MIAFS is a company dedicated exclusively to the activity of storing and supplying aviation fuel (into plane) in Maputo City, and is therefore a critical asset for the functioning of the aviation market, notes ARC.
