Pemba hosts the 2nd Session of the Urban Development Project Advisory Committee

Pemba acolhe a 2ª Sessão do Comité Consultivo do Projecto de Desenvolvimento Urbano

This Wednesday, June 5, the city of Pemba is hosting the 2nd session of the Consultative Committee of the Northern Mozambique Urban Development Project (PDUNM).

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, the aim of the 2nd Session is to assess the progress made and the challenges faced, as well as to put into perspective the actions for the next twelve months.

"At the end of the 2nd Session of the Consultative Committee, the participants will visit the works of the Small Water Supply System (PSAA) in the Mahate neighborhood, in the city of Pemba, as well as witness the symbolic delivery of computer equipment to the municipalities covered by the project," the statement said.

PDNUM is a strategic project implemented by the Government of Mozambique with the support of the World Bank whose aim is to improve access to urban infrastructure and living conditions in four selected cities in northern Mozambique, namely Nampula, Nacala, Pemba and Montepuez.
