A Pakistani citizen who bought 510 tons of maize from 17 farmers in Nampula and Niassa, to whom he wrote a cheque without funds in Nampula.
The accused buys and sells maize in Nampula province.
In addition to the fact that the check was not covered, the same corn was sold by the Pakistani citizen to a corn flour factory, before the owners of the product were paid.
The victims presented the case to the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC). By decision of the Nampula provincial court, the maize was seized. The owner of one of the warehouses was appointed trustee. To the surprise of the victims, the maize continued to be taken from the warehouse. (Source: O País)
