Pope Francis, still convalescing from his health problems, reappeared this Sunday before the faithful in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican at the end of the Jubilee Mass dedicated to the sick.
Francis was taken in a wheelchair from inside St. Peter's Basilica to the altar in the square for public Masses and spoke briefly, with some difficulty due to the nasal cannulas he uses to receive oxygen.
"Good Sunday everyone, thank you very much," Francis said to the faithful, before walking around part of the square, distributing blessings.
The faithful greeted him with emotion, applause and shouts of "Long live the Pope!"
The latest medical information provided by the Holy See indicates that his health is improving, as he continues his drug therapy and motor and respiratory physiotherapy.
