A citizen was refused observation and medical assistance on Saturday night (16) at the Xai-xai Health Center, in Gaza province, because she was not wearing a protective mask when the services were requested.

Using a cell phone, he captured and recorded the situation. In it, he complains about the denial of health care by the health professionals assigned to that shift at the health unit's emergency room.

The video came to the attention of the Gaza Provincial Health Directorate. It has set up a Commission of Inquiry to investigate the situation. The commission has been given 15 days to present its findings, according to a statement from the Directorate.

In the document, the institution only calls on health professionals to wear protective masks because health units are high-risk places for the transmission of diseases.
