"Ossufo Momade must come out of his room and show his position on the results" - Manuel de Araújo

“Ossufo Momade deve sair do quarto e mostrar o seu posicionamento sobre os resultados” – Manuel de Araújo

Renamo is one of the political parties that gave Frelimo the most headaches, at least until the sixth General Elections, but the results of the ballot held on October 9 show a completely different scenario.

Partridge may have had the worst result in history, apparently due to internal disagreements. Regardless of the results so far, what is strange is the silence of the party's leadership, especially the president, Ossufo Momade.

In fact, according to a Diário da ZambéziaIn an interview with a national television station last week, Renamo's list leader for governor of Zambézia, Manuel de Araújo, expressed his concern at Momade's silence.

"The president has to come out of his room and be on the street, and show his position on the results," urged Araújo, for whom, "he can't stay in his room, it's unacceptable," the politician believes.

In the same interview, the Quelimane mayor also stressed that his party lost a great deal of renewal at the Alto-Molócuè congress. "What we proposed at Alto-Molócuè was that President Ossufo should continue in his post, and that there should be a younger person who could communicate with the youth to move forward with this agenda," De Araújo recalled, stressing that, "everyone when they left the congress was convinced that these elections would not be very good," the politician countered.

Even so, Manuel de Araújo doesn't rule out fraud. It should be noted that the National Electoral Commission may release the results this Wednesday.
