The rehabilitation of the Julius Nyerere Avenue road from Xiquelene to Praça da Juventude in Maputo City will be completed by the middle of next year.

The information was advanced by the spokesperson for the Municipality of Maputo, Alice de Abreu, on the sidelines of the celebrations of the 135th anniversary of the capital of the country.

The Maputo Municipality spokesperson, assured that Julius Nyerere will also be intervened from Xiquelene to the Praça da Juventude.

"For this part, we believe that by the first quarter of next year, if all goes well or by the middle of next year, this route will be completed," promised De Abreu, quoted by "O País".

Still in the field of infrastructures, Alice de Abreu revealed that the impasse that paralyzed the construction of a porch in the Wholesale Market of Zimpeto for better comfort of the vendors. And the work will be concluded soon.

"It has already been overcome, the termination of the contract with the previous contractor has been made, and the City Council is moving forward with internal capacity in place, with county funds for the completion of this work. We believe that by the first quarter of next year the work will be ready."
