The former President of the Republic and current president of the party, Filipe Nyusi, pointed out today, at the opening of the third extraordinary session of Frelimo's Central Committee, which is taking place in the city of Matola, Maputo province, that despite the alleged internal and external campaigns against the organization, Frelimo remains firm in the country.

"Despite an intense controversial campaign, inside and out, Frelimo continues to be one of the most historic and rooted parties in the country, in the region and on the continent," said Nyusi, quoted in a publication on the Frelimo website. Dossiers & Facts.

The party leader called on Frelimo members to support Daniel Chapo sincerely and honestly, stressing the importance of him dedicating himself fully to the mission of consolidating national unity, promoting peace and fostering the country's development.
