The Mozambican Football Federation (FMF), in an Ordinary General Assembly, today approved its new statutes, in line with those of the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the African Football Confederation (CAF).
One of the main novelties is that the document has extended the number of terms a board can serve from two to three. This means that the President of the FMF can run for a third term.
The new statutes are the result of a revision of those that had been in force since 2016.
The new statutes comply with national legislation, such as the sports law, and with FIFA and CAF guidelines, said the President of the FMF General Assembly, Teodoro Wate, quoted by AIM.
Among other things, the Assembly approved the Annual Report for 2024, the Activity Plan and the Budget for 2026.
