The watch will be available in a sportier version and another with a more classic design.
In addition to the two folding cell phones - the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 - Samsung took advantage of Thursday's Unpacked event to reveal the Galaxy Watch 4, a new version of its smartwatch. This model is not just another Samsung watch and has inside the Wear OS operating system, developed collaboratively with Google.
According to Notícias ao Minuto, the existence of this operating system allows the Galaxy Watch 4 to download and install all compatible apps on the phone, as well as the main settings such as reminders and alarm clocks.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Watch 4 is available with a 40mm display, with a 1.19-inch Super AMOLED screen and 247mAh battery, and a 44mm display, with a 1.36-inch Super AMOLED screen and 361 mAh battery.
Inside we find an Exynos W920 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and fast charging. Of course, fitness and exercise aficionados will be able to find dozens of different exercise modes, all to have accurate data to help you improve performance in physical activity.
Samsung will also market a more traditional version of its new watch, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. This model shares all the specifications with the standard model, except that it has a more classic and elegant 'look' and, instead of the 44mm version, will have a 44mm version.
As far as the launch is concerned, these two models of the Galaxy Watch 4 will hit the market on August 27. The standard 40mm Galaxy Watch 4 model will be available in black, silver and rose gold, with the 44mm version being available in black, silver and green. The price starts at €269.99.
The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, on the other hand, can be purchased in black and silver and will be sold with a price starting at €369.
